Who we are
Amp’d Up Limo was planned from day one to be the Vail Valley’s first 100% fully electric transportation company.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I book a ride in advance?
Absolutely. In fact we encourage it. We are a small boutique company dedicated to providing the best customer service possible, but one of the downsides to our size is that we can often sell out during busier times. Therefore we highly recommend booking early so we end up driving you and not someone else.
Do you offer free Wifi?
Yes. We do provide complementary Wifi, however due to the mountain terrain we traverse, coverage may be spotty in certain areas.
Do you get your energy from an environmentally friendly source?
Yes. When we charge at the end of the day, 100% of our energy usage comes from a combination of solar, wind, and hydro power projects, with more local solar coming online in the near future.
Do you have room for my skis
Yes. Our aerodynamic roof box will keep your equipment dry and out of the weather. It can accommodate skis or ski bags up to 190cm in length. Longer skis can be accommodated as well, but they will end up occupying one of the seats.
Will we have to stop to recharge?
No. Our range is sufficient to be able to go the entire journey non stop with quite a reserve of energy. If it is really cold, (like -20 degrees) there is a possibility we may have to stop going Denver to Aspen, but we would be sure to let you know when booking if that is the case.
Will I always get a Tesla?
Yes. Our goal from the very beginning was to be a 100% electric fleet. Tesla is the only thing we drive.
Do you accept credit cards?
Of course. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Android Pay, and Samsung Pay.
How well does a Tesla perform in snow?
Fantastic. Unlike several of our competitors, we are equipped with studless snow and ice tires on all 4 corners. And unlike a combustion engine car, an electric vehicle weighs the same with a full charge, as it does at the end of its range, so the handling characteristics stay the same.
“Great service. The owner, Tommy, drove us to and from the airport to our hotel. He is a very nice man and his prices are cheaper than renting a car if you plan on staying in the village. Once in the village there are shuttles that will take you around the village or to the town for free or a few bucks depending on where your headed so renting a car would have been significantly more expensive. Tommy was also very knowledgeable about the area.”
“From the phone call or text to make reservation trough the pick up and drop off service is seamless. The car was clean and my driver was professional and friendly. Definitely recommend them!!”
